Privacy: Opt-Out

*AT THIS TIME OUR SERVER IS SET NOT TO PLACE COOKIES* WE MAY CHANGE THIS OPTION AND AT THAT TIME WE WILL ACTIVATE THIS OPT-OUT FEATURE AS WELL.

NOTES:
The opt-out process does not overwrite the following cookie: "test_cookie=CheckForPermission". This cookie, only used to verify if a user's browser is accepting cookies, will self delete within 24 hours. Once a user has opted-out and this cookie has expired, it will not be set again.

Your DoubleClick SiteAdvance Cookie id is now set to OPT_OUT.

IMPORTANT: IF YOU DELETE YOUR OPT-OUT COOKIE, YOU WILL NEED TO OPT-OUT AGAIN.

If you wish to manually verify this you can:

Under Netscape:

In your cookies.txt file you will see an entry line for cookie "2mix.rpts.net" that looks similar to:

2mix.rpts.net TRUE / FALSE 1920499138 id OPT_OUT

Under Internet Explorer:

In your cookies folder, you will see an individual file named <your username>@2mix.rpts[].txt. PLEASE NOTE that only the contents of the file are your cookie. The name of the file itself is simply an IE convention and is not sent as part of your cookie. Inside this file you will see contents similar to:

id OPT_OUT 2mix.co.uk/ 1024 468938752 31583413 3447013104 29418226 *

Please also note that opting-out does not opt-out an individual person, or even an individual computer, but merely a single instance of a Web browser. Individual Web browsers do not share information with each other. Therefore, if you are running both Netscape and Internet Explorer, you will need to go through the opt-out procedure with both browsers. Additionally, if you as a consumer wish to be completely opted-out, you must opt-out on each browser on each computer on which you browse the Web (if you use more than one).
